News & Announcements
July 14, 2025
Hi everyone,
What a tremendous week it was for NSLDHH! We truly enjoyed having you all with us at Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind during July 7 to 11. We beat the record for the number of attendees and schools that came to learn from and share resources with each other. Three new board members (Jeffrey Rawlings, Chris Joseph, and Kristin Feldman) joined us, and two board members (Roddy Cabbage, Dee Mills, and Peggy Ann Wenger) transitioned to the Emeritus role. We are looking forward to NSLDHH's future; especially with the next conferences at Wisconsin School for the Deaf in 2027 and Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind in 2029.
In the meantime, the FSDB conference page has been moved to the "Conference Archives" section. We will be working on uploading the pictures and videos from the conference there. The gallery can be found here. If you want to add to the collection, please do not hesitate to email Dee Mills at [email protected], or email [email protected] during July to August before NSLDHH transitions to the new Media Specialist (Chris Joseph) in September.
Until then, we hope you have a relaxing and fun summer, and feel refreshed to come back to your work in August with new information/resources from NSLDHH to share with your colleagues!
Warm regards,
NSLDHH

Some of us are on summer break, some of us are focused on summer camps, but we're still very much looking forward to the NSLDHH conference!! Guess how many days we have left now?! 10 Days! That's right!
Skye Dreumont, of New Mexico School for the Deaf and the secretary for NSLDHH, has a reminder for you all! Please do not forget to bring: your water bottle, sunscreen, and your own pillow!
Also NSLDHH is excited to announce that all the attendees have been sent emails on the program book and the conference website. Please grab the opportunity to check your email if you have not done so!
See you all there at Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind during July 7-10!

She is signing, "Guess how many days we have left until the conference?! 10 days! Please do not forget to bring: water bottle, sunscreen, and your pillow!" The video then transitions to another woman named Dee with light blue hair in a ponytail and wearing the same NSLDHH polo shirt. Dee thanks Skye for the reminder on what to pack and then reminds the attendees to check their emails and the NSLDHH website. Dee jokes about snapping her fingers and finding herself already all packed up for FSDB before walking off screen.]
