About Dr. Eva Hartmann - DSD Dean of Students
Eva Hartmann, Ed. D currently works as Dean of Students at the Delaware School for the Deaf (DSD). She has worked with her amazing Student Life Team for the past eleven years to transform their DSD Student Life program. Eva grew up living in the dorm for 11 years at St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis and knows the valuable lifelong lessons it brings to each child.
Before DSD, Eva worked at the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf as High School Principal. One of her proudest moments is reestablishing the high school program. Eva also was a classroom teacher for six years at the Marlton School in Los Angeles and OCM BOCES in Syracuse, New York. Her love for working with children started when she became a camp counselor at the age of 14 and then eventually became a Camp Director.
Eva resides in Pennsylvania with her husband, Jonathan, and their two boys Chase (age 12) and Flynn (age 11). Eva loves to travel with her family and read books during her free time.
